Performance Auditing is a step-by-step process that can tackle the more vexing challenges of facility operations.  This process is also referred to as Retro-Commissioning.

Our concept is designed to be cost-effeective with a quick payback.  Facilities Partners does not sell control systems or HVAC equipment.  We believe that existing systems can be modified and enhanced to maximize tenant comfort as well as reduce energy consumption.

Please take a moment and think about the following questions...

  • Do you believe you are spending too much for maintenance and repair?
  • Do you have an inordinate amount of equipment downtime?
  • Do you believe you have too many equipment failures?
  • Has the technology of your systems exceeded the capability of staff?
  • Is your engineering staff reactive instead of pro-active?
  • Compared to like facilities, are your utility bills too high?

If you answered yes to any of the above questions, we can assist you in finding the solutions to those issues.

During the Performance Audit, Facilities Partners will:

1)  Develop activities into an operating plan, and work in a team environment with building staff targeted at improving efficiency of operation, without sacrificing tenant comfort, by providing technical understanding and resources.

2) We work in collaboration with the building staff to resolve mechanical issues while focuing on minimizing disruptions to the tenants.

3)  Provide an Operational Plan that maximizes the capabilities of the existing systems.

4)  Implement an Operating Plan in conjunction with staff, with changes that are previously tested and agreed upon.

Finally, with a Performance Audit, the results will enable you to:

  • Increase the effectiveness of your engineering staff.
  • Reduce equipment downtime.
  • Reduce energy consumption.
  • Increase tenant comfort AND tenant retention.
  • Allow you to develop a realistic long-term strategic plan.
  • Reduce the number of facility emergencies.

This process can also be utilized if you are currently considering upgrading your facility's control system to DDC.  Most proposed DDC upgrades do not consider the intricacies of verification of current equipment operation (e.g., dampers and actuators) to fully enable the proposed DDC capabilities.  Our audit process is also capable of addressing these issues.
